How has the American Dream changed in the last 50 years?
Is there an American Dream anymore? Artists explore the myth.

For the first time in American history, today's generation may not be able to live a "better quality of life" than their parents. The changing role of government, societal expectations, consumerism, debt, immigration, domestic partnerships and a host of other issues have forced two generations of American to rethink their parents' notion
of what "The American Dream" means to them. What does it mean to be "American"?

MythAmerica examines what it means to identify within a specific American culture, and how that culture affects one's individuality and one's reality. Ten artists from Ohio and across the country tackle the relationship between personal identity and a broader "American" identity.

The artists in MythAmerica are:

Leni Anderson Columbus OH

Tracy Featherstone Hamilton OH

Mark Guilbeau and Rian Kerrane Denver CO

Brian Joiner Cincinnati OH
