Ravit Mishli

Ravit Mishli, Tel Aviv, Israel
Artist-in-residence

SPACES World Artists Program

Artist-in-residence Ravit Mishli is in Cleveland through the SPACES World Artists Program, designed to give visiting artists the time and opportunity to create new work and interact with
the Northeast Ohio community.

Emergency evacuations, fighting and attacks are simulated in Mishli's site-specific "shelters," which serve as stages for fictional actions she performs based on life in Israel. Her work requires improvisation and quick responses that parallel the often chaotic environment of Israel.

Mishli is a graduate of Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, and has exhibited extensively throughout Israel.
This is her first exhibition in the United States.

Events in conjunction with the exhibition include:

Thu Sep 7·5–9pm
Opening reception

Street Repairs and Ravit Mishli

Sun Sep 11·11am
Gallery discussion and slide presentation

SPACES World Artists Program artist-in-residence Ravit Mishli will be giving a gallery talk and slide presentation of life in the Israel, and its impact on her work.

All events are free and open to the public.
