SPACELab is a program that was established in 1994 through suggestions made at several community meetings with area artists who felt that experimentation and risk-taking needed to be emphasized. SPACELab was created to provide a short-term installation space for established artists who wanted to create a small, experimental project or for younger artists who may want to create a first-time installation.
As we enter our 31st year as a contemporary art organization we are re-evaluating how SPACELab can continue to promote experimentation and artistic growth. Please check back for updates on the development of this program.
