SPACES closes out our 2018 season with newly commissioned projects by local artist Sarah Kabot (Cleveland, OH), artist in residence James Webb (Capetown, South Africa), and animation artist Dustin Grella.
Forgetting Lessons, by Sarah Kabbot, reflect the inevitable distortions and omissions occurring in the public recollection of news events. James Webb's It's not what it looks like uses the voice and language - with their powers to reframe objects and situations; through his SWAP residency, he has been exploring the city on foot while embracing reorientation as a form of rejuvenation. Dustin Grella presents the culmination of his SPACES 40th Anniversary Animation Hotline.
The reception is FREE + open to the public.
In addition, SPACES Season Pass members are invited to a sneak peek of our upcoming projects, on Tuesday 11/13 from 6 pm - 8 pm. Members can speak with the artists in an informal setting, as they install their work.
