Choosing Materials that Will Stand the Test of Time
Location: The Mistake Lab at SPACES, 2900 Detroit Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44113
Join Jamye Jamison, Paper Conservator, Jamison Art Conservation and Wendy Partridge, Paintings Conservator, ICA Art Conservation for the first in our Artist Professional Development series here at SPACES.
Confused about adhesives? Wondering about paint selection? What is an "archival" paper anyway? Stretcher versus strainer? Should you varnish that oil painting? Not sure how to mount your work now so that it will still look great for your career retrospective? Two art conservators from ICA Art Conservation will give an overview of artists' materials and their properties. An extended question and answer session will follow so come prepared.
This is a FREE workshop though RSVPs are required. Please RSVP here by January 9th to reserve your seat.
